Engagement Photos & Wedding Contests

We got the "sneak peek" of our engagment photos back, and i am so thrilled with them. The wonderful woman, Jodie, from Simply Decadent Photography gave us a free photo session in exchange for her use of the photos in her portfolio. Jodie was very patient with us and let us throw in all the little poses that we wanted.

Since we got the photo sneak peek we have both really been in wedding mode! we decided where we would like to have the ceremony and reception, and have been entering countless giveaways. Cyn and I are doing this ourselves. We are saving our pennies in hopes of having a beautiful wedding none the less. Because of this, our wedding is not until September of 2014. But atleast that gives me plenty of time to plan, and plenty of time to enter more giveaways!! Speaking of which, i will be making a master post of the giveaways that i enter shortly.

Independance Day Fun

Happy Belated Independance Day!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful day/night yesterday.

We woke up super early to get everything together and head down to the beach for our 4th of July picnic/party. We got there around 10 am and set up the tent, There were already SO many people there, we were unable to get a picnic table or a grill, but luckily we brought our own!

Our attempt at a fruit flag didnt quite turn out as planned..
and the fruit went bad by the end of the day anyway :(

We were the only tent with decorations, so everyone coming to our party could easily pick us out!

We're not Jets fans.. but the canopy was clearanced down to $50!

After we set everything up a few of our friends showed up so we decided to venture over to the old-style Sylvan beach amusement park. Allyse, Kayla and i went on the wooden rollercoaster while cyn took photos, then we all decided we wanted to get on the bumper boats. it was fun, but we were all so hot at this point that we just wanted to jump in the water!

Later more people started showing up and we ended up having a really great night. Once fireworks start, cyn goes into photographer mode. Business wise we are a team, but when it comes to firework photos i let her take over. she captures gorgeous shots of them!

We ended our night with a late night (midnight) in the lake. The water was still warm so it was very romantic, relaxing and peaceful.

We had a wonderful night but let me tell you.. after 14 hours at the beach yesterday, i did NOT want to wake up this morning! i've been exhausted all day.

Thanks for your tips and comments on my last post, looks like this blog may be a little mish-mash of everything!

Why hello there!

oh my! has it been some time.. i havent updated this blog in years now.. so much has changed.. but i decided i needed to do something, pick up some sort of hobby to try to dig myself out of the hole i've been in the past 6 months or so. So i'm going to try to pick up blogging again. But where do i begin? should i pick a theme? write reviews? make it personal, like a diary? a coupon/savings blog? a LGBTQ related blog? i have no idea. I suppose from here we can only wait and see what happens!

in the mean time, a little update. I am now 21 years old, and living in Syracuse, NY. Made the move a little over a year ago. As of two weeks ago i am ENGAGED to a wonderful woman who is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

We live with her mother who we help take care of. I, like so many others, am unemployed, and struggling to make ends meet. I babysit a couple days a week to try to pay my bills, but lord knows i cut the coupons and find the best deals i can in order to keep going!

That about sums things up for now. Does anyone have any ideas in what i should do with this blog? any thing would help from here- i have no idea where i should go with this!

My First Giveaway!! and some more videos.

So, today i made some cute little hair bows on various hair clips. So over on youtube, S2pandapple is doing a contest for some awesome prizes. The theme is "your favorite look" so obviously its very broad. you can do as many looks as you want, so im planning on doing a few! here are my first two entries, let me know what you think =]

This one was SO frustrating to make!!! My camera died 15 times (litterally. i had to piece together 15 clips.) then it was too long so i had to cut out a bunch.. so so so frustrating, and it turned out pretty crappy.. lots of rambling haha

Also, today i recieved my prize from Jaris giveaway over at The Spark blog party. It was a car air freshner (called a "car candle") it smells sooooooo good!!!! So thank you a ton, jari!!

We got a pretty bad storm last night and our cable and internet went out so i wasnt able to post my photobooth friday photo! so here it is.
